SEMI-TRACTOR TRAILER ♦ Car Accident ♦ I-4 ♦ CONSTRUCTION ZONE ♦ Florida Highway Patrol Officer hurt in accident
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – West bound I-4 was closed for several hours when a semi-tractor-trailer slammed into the back of a stopped car pushing it into a FHP – Trooper’s car. The trooper was there in his car, with his lights on, to make sure motorists slowed down for road construction in the area.
The impact sent a vehicle into the patrol vehicle and the trooper’s car into the vehicle in front of him. The trooper was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The FHP investigation into the crash is continuing.
