Driver loses control, RV ends up in Tampa Bay near Howard Frankland Bridge between Tampa – St. Petersburg – INTERSTATE – I-275
HILLBOROUGH COUNTY (Bay News 9) — An overnight accident on the Howard Frankland bridge sent an RV crashing into Tampa Bay. The crash happened just before midnight as the vehicle was headed north on the bridge.
The driver, from Tennessee, lost control of the motor home. The Florida Highway Patrol said the vehicle went crashing through a fence on the east shoulder of the highway and kept going into the water. There were no injuries reported but the driver was charged with careless driving.
