CLEARWATER – The Tampa Bay Times reports that a 78 year-old Clearwater man, Edward Ortwein, was hit by a car while walking his dog Friday, April 12, 2013. Sadly, Mr. Ortwein was seriously injured and later died of his injuries. The car that hit the man was driven by 35 year-old Clearwater resident Yvelise Bradley. The tragic incident occurred on East Drive, a small residential street near Sunset Point Road and Highland Avenue in Clearwater, where the two were neighbors. Bradley left the scene of the accident but was later tracked down and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
