Law enforcement agencies throughout Florida have stepped up their enforcement of seatbelt violations under the Click It or Ticket campaign.
The increased enforcement effort started Monday and runs through May 31.
Under Florida law, it is illegal for anyone:

To operate a motor vehicle unless restrained by a safety belt

To operate a motor vehicle unless each passenger and the operator of the vehicle under the age of 18 years is restrained by a safety belt or by a child restraint device
